“We lost loved ones to suicide. We couldn’t not open this clinic.”

Question: What inspired you to start Northwest Ketamine Clinics?
We started Northwest Ketamine Clinics in an unlikely fashion. My husband and I had already started an anesthesia company—he’s a CRNA. We provide anesthesia services for different surgery centers in the area. We’ve been doing that for several years.
And one day, he pulled out some reports—some studies, actually—that had shown how effective ketamine is for the use of treating treatment-resistant depression, suicidal ideation, and anxiety. And I was just shocked to see how well it worked for that.

We lived in the area. No one here was providing ketamine infusion. And both of us have family members—loved ones—who have struggled with depression. We’ve lost loved ones from suicide.
“Both of us have family members… we’ve lost loved ones from suicide.”
And so we felt we absolutely had to open up a clinic here in Washington and start offering this life-saving treatment to patients in our area.
